The American Revolution Museum in Philadelphia

This amazing museum was established in 2000 and is strategically located in the heart of Philadelphia. The museum is adjacent to the First Bank of United States and a stone throw from the Independence Hall Carpenter’s Hall and the Second Bank of the United States.

This amazing building was designed and constructed by RAMSA, and in 2012, Robert Stern and other RAMSA partners revealed the various styles for the permanent location. The museum abounds with three stories and a full basement that measures 18,000 square feet, and the other 32,000 squares are dedicated for interpretive and exhibit spaces.

On the third floor, the museum has rooms used for events, not to mention two terraces overlooking the First Bank of United States and Philly’s skyline. Its outdoor plaza was opened on September 25, 2016. All passersby and museum visitors can access this outdoor plaza that features incredible installations related to the Revolutionary War. They include a few artifacts, seasonal café seating, and shaded seating.

The museum is equipped with several gallery experiences, including a replica of the Liberty Tree in Boston, which was a recreation point for the Oneida Indian Council. A Battlefield Theatre features the Brandywine Battle, the Independence Hall recreation, and a massive model of the 18th-century privateer ship. The museum is also designed with a theater that keeps an iconic artifact used in the Revolution War.

This artifact is the Tent of General Washington’s Headquarters. Some of the collections found in the museum include the Thirteen-star flag called the Commander-in-Chief’s Standard, equipment used by Washington in the Independence War, and the soldier’s letters, among other collections, to mention but a few.
