One of the various institutions of higher learning in the area commissioned the building of a library. The result was a masterpiece that was the brainchild of lead architect, Minoru Yamasaki. The Butler University commissioned this library with a cost of $2.3 million, of which the Irwin-Sweeney-Miller Foundation contributed $1.5 million.
The library was named after George Irwin, who was a long-time trustee of the Butler University starting in 1908, until his passing in 1943. Talk about dedication. This library contains various educational materials in the field of business, curriculum, education and liberal arts. It is located on 4600 Sunset Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46208, United States.
