Formerly known as Bryn Mawr, the historic house is located at 500 Harriton Road, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. The site covers a total area of 6 hectares and was the residence of Charles Thomson. The house was constructed in 1704 by a Welsh Quaker called Rowland Ellis, who named it Bryn Mawr, which means the high hill.
